Transforming DNA Sequencers to Higher Performance with Custom Bonded Manifolds

This case study explains how a genomics instrument manufacturer changed a new high-performance DNA sequencer’s fluid control technology from tubing and fittings to a bonded custom manifold. The company’s engineering team worked with its liquid handling components supplier, AFP, to provide rapid prototyping and design iterations, smaller instrument fluid volumes, and reduced carryover. The result was a custom manifold that achieved all of the DNA sequencer’s design objectives ¬ increased throughput, reduced complexity, and improved reliability in a smaller, more compact footprint.

This case study is a must-read for liquid handling system design engineers and managers striving for greater instrument performance.
